Water Damage Cleanup

Homeowners hit by water damage understand that this can be a terribly costly and difficult situation. Restore Pros has nearly a decade of experience helping homeowners clean up the mess left by water damage and put the house back together after water damage.

Water damage can be caused by everything from leaking water lines or pipes to basement flooding, sink, toilet or bathtub overflows, storm damage or other factors. Research shows that 22 out of every 1,000 homes a year will be impacted by water damage. When water damage hits a home or business, the experts at Restore Pros can move quickly to get your life back to normal, according to Restore Pros owner Ross Kesterson. And property owners can be confident knowing that Restore Pros will be on their side and not trying to save a buck for the insurance company.

“When that emergency comes, we really try to make sure that the customer’s needs are taken care of,” Ross said. “We’re there to work for the homeowner and what’s in their best interest. We’re not there for the insurance company. We’re not trying to figure out how to save the insurance company money, but we’re going to make sure that we leave the house in as good or better condition than before the damage.”

One of the things that separates Restore Pros from other mitigation companies is that many mitigation companies only dry out a house and remove damaged property.

“The homeowners find out they have to fend for themselves as far as building the house back,” Ross said. “But when people hire Restore Pros, we are there one point of contact. We handle the water mitigation side and the structural repairs. And 70 to 90 percent of the work in the house is not done by subcontractors. The homeowner can feel comfortable with us not bringing in a lot of subcontractors. The people they see will be my employees, and they can be confident that I’ve vetted them. I’m not putting anybody in a house that I would not have in my own house.”

It makes a difference, Ross said, that Restore Pros doesn’t just clean up the mess but also puts everything back together.

“Because we’re going to be building it back, we’re going to do a little bit better taking care of the damage created by the water issue,” Ross said. “When we have to cut drywall out, we’re going to make straight cuts because we’re going to put the drywall back in. Some companies will come in and just rip and tear everything out, but we’re careful on the front end to make it easier on us on the back end.”

Ross also said that he remains cognizant about the homeowner’s priorities. If a homeowner had a high deductible or a limit on an insurance claim, it may be that he has to try to save things like cabinets to help his customer.

“Instead of taking everything out, sometimes we can save things to help the customer,” Ross said. “So those are the kinds of things I’m investigating when I look at a water damage situation. We’re looking at the health and safety aspects of it. We’re determining what’s in the best interest of the homeowners. Then we’re looking at what is the best way to go about accomplishing the task.”

Because Restore Pros is a professional and experienced water restoration repair company, homeowners can save time, money and have peace of mind that the job was done right.

For homeowners forced to deal with the cleanup and restoration of water damage, the situation can be an expensive nightmare. The professionals at Restore Pros understand that this is a terrible situation, and so they move quickly to help the homeowners.

First, they will remove the water and perform an inspection using specialized moisture detectors to record and monitor the relative humidity levels and moisture content levels in the home or business. This helps them to develop a plan of action to make certain all the damage – not just the visible damage but also the hidden damage – is dealt with.

Next, Restore Pros technicians will trace the path of the moisture and using an environmentally safe anti-microbial disinfectant, they will disinfect all the areas affected.

Restore Pros will contain the water to ensure that the water damage does not spread.

They use specialized equipment to begin the drying process and continue to monitor humidity and moisture content until they are certain the affected area is fully dry.

Restore Pros will remediate the water problem so that they can stabilize the integrity of the structure.

Ross said he and his techs at Restore Pros understand that water damage is a terrible situation for every homeowner, but their professionalism and expertise can help to ease a property owner’s mind and restore their home quickly.
